Chan Chen Yee

Chen Yee interned with us from 01.06.2022 to September 2022. She was a third-year law student then, and continued her final year of law studies at the University of Liverpool.

She assisted the Firm in subsale, transfer of title and loan agreements; drafting of letters of demand; and probate / letters of administration applications.

She grew tremendously within that short span of three months, and went on to intern with Gary Lee & Partners, a firm well known for probate and letters of administration work — where they asked her, "How come you know all these stuffs?"

Lim Jia Kei

Jia Kei interned from February 2023 until October 2023, while sitting for her CLP examination.

In litigation she drafted affidavits and submissions — winning Edric Cheah Shiao Hng v Inspedia Sdn Bhd in the Labour Court on the interpretation of an employment contract to claim a special bonus [KBR11001/2023/0055]; drafted submissions for judicial review proceedings supporting an award of the Homebuyer's Tribunal on Liquidated Ascertainable Damages [WA-25-4-01/2023]; assisted in land disputes to remove wrongly entered private caveats [RA-24NCvC-28-07/2023, RA-24NCvC-27-07/2023]; and drafted an affidavit in reply opposing a divorce application [PA-33-332-08/2023].

She also attended SPA signings, assisted transfers of property under probate and letters of administration (including renunciation of beneficiaries' rights), assisted in obtaining a Mental Health Order for a mentally incapacitated owner to sell property, handled sales involving low-cost consents, and drafted wills.

Because the Founder had not yet met the 7-year requirement under the law, the Firm could not take her in as a pupil. She commenced her pupillage in Damansara. JK has been a valuable asset to the Firm, and the Firm looks forward to her return and to collaborating with her in the future.

Cassandra Chan

Cassandra, a high-achieving law graduate from Taylor's University, interned and worked as a paralegal with the Firm from November 2023 until April 2024, before stepping away to focus on her five CLP papers.

In litigation she handled an application for distress to recover a commercial shoplot; drafted cause papers for a complex shareholders' dispute on a consequential order; drafted cause papers for a wedding photography company suing ex-employees for breach of contract and negligence; and drafted cause papers for a defamation case against a YouTuber with 300,000 subscribers. In conveyancing she completed perfection of title & charge and subsale matters, and drafted wills.

Because the Founder had not yet met the 7-year requirement under the law, the Firm could not take her in as a pupil. She is thorough in research and drafting, and will make a fine litigation lawyer. The Firm thanks her for her contribution across her five-month stint, progressing from intern to paralegal.

Lim Bi Heng

Bi Heng was a top student at SMJK Katholik, scoring straight As in his SPM. He is now pursuing matriculation at Kolej Matrikulasi Pahang.

He interned with the Firm from March 2025 until May 2025, assisting in full trials for corporate and shareholders' disputes, estate administration matters such as probate and letters of administration applications, and corporate advisory work.

Justin Eng Zi Hao

Justin is a graduate of the University of Leicester. He interned with the Firm for three months, during which he was exposed to court litigation and the drafting of court cause papers.

Justin joined Mr. Dylan at the Walk of Justice in Putrajaya on 14.07.2025.

Bo Chi Chian

Bobo, a First Class graduate of the University of Malaya, served as a legal associate for one year at Dylan Chong & Co before deciding to go in-house. She is currently in-house counsel with a public listed company.

She assisted the Firm in winning several interlocutory applications, and defended against a developer on unpaid late payment interests granted under the Strata Tribunal.

Samuel Lau Shiau Fong

Samuel is a graduate of Taylor's University, currently undergoing the Certificate in Legal Practice (CLP) examination in Malaysia.

Samuel is assisting on disputed estate administration cases with the Firm.
